September 14th - 18th

What are we doing?
French 1B has begun working with conversation - we worked on asking someone's name and introducing yourself.
Comment t'appelles-tu?
Je m'appelle ________. Et toi?
We are also finding out what countries are French-speaking. Scholars should be able to name at least 10 by now.
We are also working on colors. We are using the colors to describe the flags of the French-speaking countries.

French 1C and French I have been reviewing vocabulary from last year. We are working on telling time, asking about the weather, date and days of the week. We also reviewed colors, family, food and numbers. This year we are using the vocabulary to have conversations- HUGE focus on listening and speaking. We are also focussing on organization (making sure that scholars are keeping track of the new information in their notebook), please remind your child that each marking period, notebooks will be graded (20% ).

French II has been reviewing verbs (etre, avoir, faire, aller, and -er verbs). They are using the "je/I" form of these verbs to write paragraphs to describe themselves. We are also focussing on organization (making sure that scholars are keeping track of the new information in their notebook), please remind your child that each marking period, notebooks will be graded (20% ).
